Kope Tourist Centre is the central winter and summer mountain centre of Carinthia, located in the western and highest part of Pohorje, above Slovenj Gradec. It offers a modern ski resort, a rich summer outdoor programme, and a varied accommodation and culinary offer for year-round relaxation.
Kope lies on the scenic plateaus of Pohorje and is considered the central ski and recreational centre of Carinthia. Thanks to its combination of well-maintained infrastructure, views and diverse offer, it is suitable for families, school groups, athletes and companies (team-building, events).
Winter tourism
The Kope ski resort offers more than 12 km of well-maintained ski slopes of varying difficulty levels, connected by four four-seater chairlifts and additional lift facilities. The slopes are suitable both for first turns and families, as well as for more demanding skiers, while part of the ski resort is also intended for snowboarders.
Kope is known for one of the largest night skiing experiences in Slovenia, with illuminated slopes and lively après-ski activities. A ski and snowboard school with licensed instructors, equipment rental and service, well-maintained children’s training areas and a sledding area are also available.
Summer tourism
In summer, Kope transforms into an active mountain destination with hiking and cycling trails, Bike Park Kope, sports and children’s playgrounds, and programmes for children. The surrounding area also features energy points and nature experiences that combine movement, relaxation and views.
The main summer attraction is a large adventure park covering approximately 20,000 m², with seven courses of varying difficulty levels and two zip-line routes suitable for children and adults. The adventure park and accompanying outdoor offer (cycling, hiking, events) enable active holidays for families and groups.
